Volunteers Grow Communities

The Oxford County Museum School is a not-for-profit community museum created for the purpose of preserving, exhibiting and interpreting artifacts and archival materials that reflect the educational history of Ontario and are of historical interest to the County of Oxford.

Volunteer opportunities are available for people of all ages.  Potential projects include:

Ø       Educational and children’s program delivery

Ø       Exhibit preparation and design

Ø       Museum collections inventory

Ø       Fundraising initiatives

Ø       Marketing    

Ø       Board Member

Our newest volunteer activity - be part of our set-up team as we organize our collection in its new storage location in Ingersoll.  This is a great opportunity to see for yourself the vast array of artefacts that the Museum School in storage.

Interested persons should enjoy working with others, and have some time during the week they would like to devote to helping in any one of a variety of tasks.  If you are enthusiastic, organized, creative, have good written and computer skills, and exhibit a willingness to learn, we would be thrilled to have you join us.  If you are only one of the above, we still would love to hear from you!  For more information, please contact the Museum School at 519.926.0206 or info@museumschool.ca.
